Good day Braves fans. I’m JB and I’ve got the mid-November, no baseball, waiting-on-something-to-happen blues getting me down in Atlanta.
Read the rest of this entry »Just in case you were interested the Hawks and Falcons are having far better 2008’s than the Braves did by far. And you’d better hope we don’t get rid of this prospect any time soon. Wren said he won’t trade him but now Hanson’s got my attention.

I never intended to have so much dedicated space to the Phillies on this Braves blog but he stepped up when I put out the request to get bloggers from each playoff contender to post for The Launching Pad. And since his team went on win the World Series, he got to post quite a bit. Sadly we never got a Rays blogger to help out.

Something I haven’t seen in my life time. And “Them Dawgs”… well how ’bout ‘em? A butt whippin’ I’d say. I guess that #1 ranking to start the year was a bunch of hype.

Javy tried to make a comeback and instead we went with Abraham Miller. I don’t even want to talk about this decision. Now he’s in the unemployment line.

This Braves blog asks the question: Am I the only Braves fan out there that’s a little ticked off about seeing Willy Aybar in the World Series?
Read the rest of this entry »Well, the Phillies are still in it and “Phightin’” for a World Series Championship. They’ll have to get through the upstart Rays who just knocked off a tough Boston club. That also means our guest bloggers from Ramblings 1.5 is still with us since his team is still in it. Here’s what he has to say about his team in the Fall Classic that gets started tonight in Tampa Bat at 8:00pm. One last note before we get to Kevin, if you haven’t entered our contest yet… it’s not to late! Make your picks and leave your comments now!

For the first time in fifteen years the Phillies will play in a World
Series game. For the second straight year the Phillies won the
National League East division. It remains to be seen if for the third
year in a row the Phillies are the home team of the National League
MVP. What does this mean when matching up with the Tampa Bay Rays? Of
course, it means nothing.
The rumors have been abounding about Jake Peavy and the Braves this week. And the Braves are proudly being aggressive enough to go after a pitcher that’s making even the Yankees drool.

The end of the Boston Red Sox 2008 campaign came last night at Tropicana Field in Tampa. The losing score was 3 - 1 at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays, a team attempting to accomplish a worst to first transformation in a single season, trying to match the ‘91 Minnesota Twins by becoming World Series champs after finishing in last place the season before.

It’s almost trick or treat time and I was lucky enough to find some sneak previews of what some of your favorite MLB’ers are donning this Halloween.

Despite a .251 avg and almost 200 K’s for 2008 he knocked 48 HR’s, 146 RBI’s and led his team to a second divisional title in two years. He hasn’t made much impact in 2008’s playoffs…yet. But the way the Phils are playing, there could be more baseball for Howard and Co.
