Sure, not that I all but give up on this team, I comment to a friend that we are rapidly catching the nats for the cellar, that management has given up we go on a winning streak. If only this could have happened back before we gutted this team for a bunch of mediocre players.

Well, it was just a few days ago that I stated one of the constants of the universe what the Braves not winning in extras, and then they had to go and prove me wrong. Of course, the Braves didn’t so much win as the other team lost. Seriously, balking in the winning run in the 10th?

Since the strike of 1994 and the disillusionment fans experienced, MLB has been coming up with all kinds of wonderful marketing ideas to draw crowds back to the National Pastime. Interleague play, extended playoffs, and “This time they count” All Star games come to mind.

The Braves ended their season of playing the Nationals the same way they started… losing.

Why didn’t he try that on Francoeur?
The Braves hit back hard at the Nationals for 10 runs and secured the series win. Along with not completely embarrassing ourselves in front of the home crowd again while playing the Nats, it gives Jurrjens his first victory since August 9th!
