Game 32

We seem to be hitting on all cylinders at the moment. The starting pitching, even with the injuries has been great. The bullpen has been solid. Even the bats are starting to hit consistently. If it weren’t for four double plays, this game wouldn’t have been close. I know I’m sounding a little Pollyanna right now, but we are on a great streak and we need to ride it as long as we can.

With the news that Soriano is getting an MRI and that Gonzalez had a “minor setback”, we actually need Smoltz in the pen. The closer role is cursed, I tell you — cursed!

History of the Braves: Jeff Blauser

Not necessarily the best Brave of all-time, Jeff Blauser was at least interesting. Honestly, the reason I picked him to do this article was that someone mentioned his name in an article I read about a week ago, and it made me nostalgic for the mid-‘90’s. Known primarily for having quite a bit of power for a shortstop, Blauser was a solid contributor for the Braves for 10+ seasons.
